In my research, I seek to identify the cognitive, neural and genetic processes that underlie the development of successful and impaired socio-emotional function. By integrating behavioral, brain-based and molecular genetic measures, I work to better understand the mechanisms that are involved in two disorders that severely compromise socio-emotional abilities: anxiety and autism.

My teaching interests include developmental psychology and developmental neuroscience.
